How has having a pacemaker changed your life?

Answer:
Pace-makers give you a second chance at life. You will need to immediately change your old ways - drinking, eating, exercising - and obediently follow your doctors advice.

It does take time to get used to the idea of something mechanical inside you.

There is nothing to worry about with the surgery these days as it's a very common procedure.

You will start to really appreciate your life, let me tell you.
My friends Dad has one and he won't go near the microwave...
It really depends on why you have a pacemaker. There are so many different reasons why a pacemaker is implanted. From what I know It makes very little difference to a persons everyday activities. The only thing people have to be careful of,depending what type of pacemaker is used,is when going through metal detectors at the airport and and buildings where they are used, micro waves and holding a mobile phone in the hand on the opposite side of the implant,as for everything else it's pretty much life as normal but,as I said before there are so many different reasons for having a pacemaker.I hope this has helped.
